Northern Tour

Ireland tours- Day 1

Chauffeur waiting to bring you to your central 5 star Dublin Hotel of choice, Boutique hotel or if you prefer a 5 star Castle for rest and refreshments. At noon we will escort you on a tour of Dublin, Trinity College, to see the most visited item in Ireland, The Book of Kells.

We will also visit the National Museum, the burial place of Saint Valentine of (Valentines Day fame), culminating in the Guinness Brewery for a pint of the “black Stuff”.

Temple Bar DublinAs with all the tours we offer you can pick and choose what you would like to see and we will be only to happy to facilitate any requests.

In the evening a visit to Temple Bar with its choice of pubs and traditional Irish music is a real treat.


Ireland tours- Day 2

Brings us North via the Boyne Valley, where Earthen Pyramids which predates the Egyptian Pyramids by 2,000 years are to be seen.

1-temple-barOnwards we travel past Drogheda (mentioned in the Australian classic movie, “The Thorn birds”) to the hill of Tara, Tara being the name of Scarlet O’Hara’s Estate in “Gone with the Wind”.

Our journey takes us onward into Co Down where St Patrick tended sheep and to the coast of Co Antrim to View one of natures masterpieces “The Giants Causeway”
Nothing relaxes one more than an overnight in Bushmills, home of the Worlds oldest whiskey Distillery, which was founded in 1608, a mandatory glass of the hard stuff ensures a good nights sleep!


Ireland tours – Day 3

After a fine Full Irish breakfast we visit the Ulster Museum which connects with no less than 9 Irish American U.S Presidents.

2-rosses-pointLate afternoon has us arriving in Co Donegal, birth place of Davy Crockets parents, Sean Connery’s (007) and Meryl Streep’s.

We overnight in Rosses Point.


Ireland tours – Day 4

West to Bellmullet and the “Capri” of Ireland, Achill Island, touring Mayo’s beautiful wild coast where Europe’s highest surf crashes against Europe’s highest cliffs, seeing Clew Bay overlooking Croagh Patrick, where St Patrick did penance for the sins of the Irish!, poor man was wasting his time!

Mullranny Park is our overnight Hotel where the seafood from the western Atlantic is perfectly matched with the local organic vegetables. At night one will realise why the Irish are so relaxed. In the Irish language there is no word for stress!


 Ireland tours – Day 5

3-ballinahinchThe twelve Ben’s of Connemara are a moonscape overlooking on the one side Irelands only Fjord, Killarney harbour and on the other Galway Bay. The Sky road at Clifden leads us eastwards through Ballinahinch towards Galway, the City of the Tribes, where the 13th Century Mayor John Lynch in his capacity as magistrate hanged his own Son for Murder, which resulted in every cowboy movie in film history having someone “Lynched “ in it!

Over night in Galway at a 5 star Castle or Boutique Hotel of your choice and after a sumptuous meal we watch “The sun go down on Galway Bay” .


Ireland tours – Day 6

We leave Ashford and travel east to Dublin Via Clonmacnoise, the shannon side 8th Century Monastry, from where Monks in the 7th Century journeyed as far east as Cracow in Poland to spread the Gospel.

Overnight in Cashel, “Cashel of the Kings”, at the Cashel Palace Hotel. The “Rock of Cashel”, tradition has it that it was bitten from the “Devils Bit” mountain in north Tipperary and spat into its present position by old “Nick” himself…


Ireland tours – Day 7

A real treat in store as we travel to the Kilkenny to view the Castle and Medieval City, a wealth of history encompasses one in this area with its cobbled streets, design centre, great cafes, and traditional pubs.

4-kilkenny-castleAfter an afternoon of strolling through the beautiful rose garden in Kilkenny Castle we find ourselves travelling back to Dublin for our last night in the “Old Sod! Once again you can choose whether you want to stay in a Boutique hotel in central Dublin or in a castle , the K club in Kildare perhaps?

We end our tour and travel to Dublin Airport and a return to the 21st Century!
